Norway entered the Schengen cooperation from 25 March 2001. A Schengen visa issued by an Embassy or Consulate of one of the Schengen countries allows in principle the holder to travel in all the Schengen countries.
Citizens of all the Caribbean states under the responsibility of this Embassy need a visa to visit Norway.
08/04/2005 :: In case you are not already in the possession of a visa to a Schengen country (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden), and Norway is your main destination, you may obtain a visa from any Norwegian Embassy or Consulate General.
Please consult the web page of the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration for general information and application form.
Please note the following:
- In Trinidad and Tobago, the Netherlands issue visas on behalf of Norway.
- Residents of the Eastern Caribbean Countries and Barbados may apply to the Dutch Honorary Consul in their country, which will forward the applications to the Dutch Embassy in Port of Spain for processing.
- In Jamaica Norway is represented by France regarding Schengen issues as of February 1 2005.
